June 9th 2018, a memorable day in so many ways for the Bourque Family. The 17th anniversary of Ray winning the Stanley cup and the inaugural Bourque Family Foundation 7.7K Road Race presented by the Boston Bruins Foundation.
400 race participants from all over New England joined the Bourque Family on the grounds of the Ferncroft Country Club in Middleton, MA. The unique course layout brought runners and walkers through the surrounding neighborhoods and on to the first five holes of the golf course. After completing the 7.7K course, race participants and spectators enjoyed live music, food, and drinks.
The Bourque Family Foundation presented a $12,500 check to The Joseph Middlemiss Big Heart Foundation
The Joseph Middlemiss Big Heart Foundation mission is to expand “The Joseph Middlemiss All You Need is Love Mission,” fostering the spread and documentation of Random Acts of Kindness on local, national and international fronts.
The Bourque Family Foundation also presented a $12,500 check to Journey Forward on behalf of Joel Gonzalez.
Our first 7.7K Road Race was a huge success and would not have been possible without the continued support of all the participants, volunteers, sponsors, donors, and friends. We are honored to have the opportunity to reach a multitude of worthwhile causes and contribute to the successes of many fundraising events throughout New England. We hope to see everyone next year!
