The Captain’s Ball

Welcome to The Captain’s Ball!

This special event aims to honor and remember the legendary life of Pete Frates, while raising significant funds for the Sean M. Healey and AMG Center for ALS at MGH and the Peter Frates Family Foundation. In 2022, we were able to donate over $182,000 to support ALS research and home healthcare for ALS patients. We are extremely grateful for the support we received at our first Ball and look forward to continuing for years to come.  2022 Captain’s Ball

The Bourque Family Foundation is pleased to announce a total donation of $182,000 to both the Sean M. Healey & AMG Center for ALS at MGH and the Peter Frates Family Foundation.

The inaugural Captain’s Ball held on September 28th in honor of Pete Frates was a huge success in raising money for the fight against ALS. With over 600 people in attendance, the Bourque Family Foundation dedicated $125,000 in proceeds from the event to the Sean M. Healey & AMG Center for ALS at MGH and $57,000 the Peter Frates Family Foundation. These funds will go directly to assist with ALS research initiatives and homecare support for individuals diagnosed.
